The Opportunity

The IT Tech provides user support for PC-based systems, diagnose and repair issues related to software and hardware, and install the same in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to obtain an Arkansas Gaming & Racing License.

Essential Functions:

  • Support for operating systems, office applications, computer operations, phone systems, and POS.
  • Assist in analysis and planning for installation of new and existing PC and POS workstations.
  • Install hardware, software, operating systems and office applications including unpacking new equipment, installing and removing options in PC’s, installing and configuring software, performing backup of workstations and servers, shutdown and moving workstations, and perform PC installations and swaps
  • Provide end-user support in a timely and courteous manner
  • Create job aids (such as quick reference guides) for system users by writing desk instructions and training guides.
  • Work with structured wiring systems, maintain, troubleshoot and support fiber optic and copper connectivity.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and support telephones, voice mail, and POS system
  • Perform administrative functions such as writing reports, maintaining accurate records, etc.
  • Inform management of problem trends and provide status reports
  • Properly maintain records of helpdesk related activities
  • Prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience required
  • Two to three years related experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed established goals including the ability to meet established deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
  • Ability to utilize complex computer operations (intermediate programming in 3rd and 4th generation languages, relational databases, and operating systems) and advanced features of software packages
  • Must be able to obtain an Arkansas Gaming License

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work with hands
