WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as an Operations Lead with Kellogg, you will be part of our success by\:

  • Understanding basic troubleshooting methodology of all equipment
  • Executing changeovers and start-ups
  • Reporting unsafe conditions or safety mishaps immediately to the shift supervisor.
  • Demonstration a strong “sense of urgency”
  • Effectively completing change overs
  • Demonstrating strong communication and teamwork between all coworkers across all departments
  • Operating and controlling various pieces of equipment used in the plant
  • Instructing employees as needed
  • Performing routine checks to ensure that products meet quality guidelines.
  • Communicating with the quality department, specialist and supervisor to ensure that issues during the shift are being addressed and that product is being run to meet the target specifications.
  • Taking corrective actions in solving problems to root cause
  • Performing and/or working with Maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns
  • Maintaining accurate records of quality checks, production numbers, downtime and waste performance.
  • Emptying waste trucks during and end of shift
  • Understanding production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions and production inventories
  • Guiding employees in the proper operation of equipment and performance of job duties to assure that GMP, SOC and SOP guidelines are being followed
  • Performing other duties or responsibilities as required by the operations supervisors.
Qualification:

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as a hunger to learn and succeed as an Operations Lead to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements\:


Required\:       

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous Machine operator experience
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and solve problems
  • Physically must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above waist at a maximum of fifty pounds
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred\:

  • Previous warehousing experience
  • Previous Lead or Supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in a Food Manufacturing setting
  • Previous Experience in inventory control
  • Knowledge and experience using computerized inventory control systems  (SAP experience preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience using computerized maintenance management systems  (SAP experience preferred)
  • Experience in quality/food safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

You must be willing to work any shift as well as weekends, holidays and overtime as required.  The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
