Scale Attendant - Full-time / Part-time

Express Employment Professionals is now working with a south side gravel transport company that has a need for a Scale Attendant. This person will be working in a small trailer and typically will be alone, but communicating with someone via radio who is out in the yard. They will direct the drivers onto the scale and enter the correct info into the system depending on the truck, load, and driver. This person needs to have attention to detail to make sure the correct information is in the system. They are also running cash and credit transactions.

The Scale Attendant will put the ticket information in a proprietary software called Load Tracker. This person will input the tickets for loads that have already been hauled; the software then generates an invoice to be sent out to the customer. They will also be responsible for entry payment into the system so that it shows up properly on the customer’s account in the software system. They will research missing tickets and make sure all loads are billed.

The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and be able to work with drivers in a construction type environment. They should be responsible, reliable and able to work on their own with very little to no supervision.

The hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 4p (could change during busy period)

Pay: $15/hr

This is a long term, evaluation to hire position with a company that offers a 401k with a 4% match along with health insurance. Trailer has a microwave and fridge, and they are OK with someone who brings reading material for down time.
