The Regional Sales Manager – CPG Retail/Food will lead and manage a territory in Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Hawaii
Candidate can be living anywhere in Northern California - No Relocation
Lead Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage broker relationships (Emkay)
- Responsible for customers including: Safeway NorCal, Lucky, Save Mart, Food Maxx, Raley’s, Tony’s, Unified Grocers, C&S, Foodland, Times Markets, Grocery Outlet, and other independent retail customers
- Develop and build relationships throughout customer’s organizations, including those in key strategic decision-making positions at headquarter level
- Develop and enhance relationships within retail store accounts
- Sell and manage multiple product liens? Execute professional sales presentations
- Ensure all authorized items are in distribution at retail stores
- Gain, solidify, and maintain distribution across all categories
- Create and execute strategy with key accounts
- Create innovative programs and promotions
- Run your own marketplace; utilize fact-based selling and strategic planning that results in market share growth
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3-5years CPG sales experience in retail grocery; Northern California experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience building new and existing relationships with key customers, including at the headquarter level
- Ability to self-manage efficiently as this is a remote position
- Syndicated data skills (Nielsen, Spectra, Consumer Insights, etc.)
- Direct experience in food sales a big plus
- Broker management and/or broker experience
Compensation:
- $80K - $90K Base + 8k – 12k Target Bonus
