The Regional Sales Manager – CPG Retail/Food will lead and manage a territory in Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Hawaii

Candidate can be living anywhere in Northern California - No Relocation

Lead Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage broker relationships (Emkay)
  • Responsible for customers including: Safeway NorCal, Lucky, Save Mart, Food Maxx, Raley’s, Tony’s, Unified Grocers, C&S, Foodland, Times Markets, Grocery Outlet, and other independent retail customers
  • Develop and build relationships throughout customer’s organizations, including those in key strategic decision-making positions at headquarter level
  • Develop and enhance relationships within retail store accounts
  • Sell and manage multiple product liens? Execute professional sales presentations
  • Ensure all authorized items are in distribution at retail stores
  • Gain, solidify, and maintain distribution across all categories
  • Create and execute strategy with key accounts
  • Create innovative programs and promotions
  • Run your own marketplace; utilize fact-based selling and strategic planning that results in market share growth

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3-5years CPG sales experience in retail grocery; Northern California experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience building new and existing relationships with key customers, including at the headquarter level
  • Ability to self-manage efficiently as this is a remote position
  • Syndicated data skills (Nielsen, Spectra, Consumer Insights, etc.)
  • Direct experience in food sales a big plus
  • Broker management and/or broker experience

 

Compensation:

  • $80K - $90K Base + 8k – 12k Target Bonus
