Description

Our Branch Audit Internal Testing team currently has an opening for a Staff Auditor role in Medford, MA.  


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting branch reviews throughout the retail footprint of Citizens Bank; travel approximately 50% up to 75%
  • Researching and booking travel within expense budget guidelines
  • Supporting a team of one to three auditors during branch reviews
  • Performing and documenting assigned test work while maintaining objectivity and independence
  • Ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate, analyzed and supports the conclusions made based on the test work performed
  • Completing further review of specific items based on recommendations from pre-work group  
  • Ensuring deadlines are met and reports are well written with concise issue articulation and issued in a timely manner
  • Ensuring professional, clear and effective communications
  • Risk Analysis: identifying, analyzing and concluding upon the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, displaying an advanced understanding of risks, compliance, and materiality
  • Continually identifying and escalating gaps in the audit process
  • Participating  in projects and attending meetings

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ years of Retail branch experience (Assistant Manager, Teller Manager or equivalent work experience)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of risk awareness 
  • Knowledge of branch operations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time, including overnight travel
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Mainframe, TouchPoint and Oracle experience


Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week:  40

Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may vary based on travel schedule)
