About this job
This person is in charge of doing analysis and analysis checking of vehicles visiting the ISS. This includes commercial resupply missions (7/year), as well as Orion. Person is responsible for looking at spectrum and frequencies that the link budget closes for communication - make sure there are no interference's in the frequencies.
Determine the performance of Radio Frequency (RF) communication links and create link budgets using analytic methods or by applying analysis and simulation tools.
Perform Radio Frequency interference and compatibility analysis for Space based communication systems.
Perform spectrum management & coordination tasks for RF systems and interface with other centers and federal agencies to resolve spectrum issues.
Perform data reductions, analyze, and document results for presentation to customers.
