Chemist-Swing Shift (7p-7a)

Our client is seeking a Chemist for an immediate opportunity. The incumbent will be responsible for working in the QC laboratory performing wet chemistry testing, auto-titrations, manual titrations, prep and analyze samples for GC and HPLC, NIR, FTIR, via AOC testing methods, analyze and interpret data. Duties involve running approximately 16-20 samples in first 2 hours of day, utilize SAP and excel for data entry.

They will be in the laboratory 100% of the time and not required to spend any time on the production floor.


Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule.

This lab operates 24/7 and will require the incumbent to work a swing shift.

Hours: Work three 12 hour days, then four 12 hour days, some weeks may work four 10 hour days. Starting times will be 7p-7a, 7a-7p, may be 6p-4a people will rotate what shift they work. sometimes only work 10 hours when full staffed and slower. Will be scheduled to work between 4-6 days / week depending on staff availability. If new you will be scheduled more of the 3rd shifts. Will have weekends scheduled into work schedule (work approximately every 2nd weekend). Schedule is given out 2 weeks in advance--but is subject to change should anyone call off or if their staff changes.

Non Negotiables:
1. Chemistry or Biology Degree (could be bachelors or associates)
2. Communication Skills (will have to communicate their lab results and calculations with members of the manufacturing floor)
3. Flexibility (they will have to fill in for employees on vacation, maternity, or sick days as needed)
