Patient Account Representative -

When a patient calls a major hospital in Minnesota regarding billing inquiries, the calls get routed to our client. The Patient Account Reps (PAR) need to be prepared to answer questions that might be out of their knowledge base, such as a patient wanting to donate their organs, medical history questions, appointment questions, etc. These situations need to be handled professionally and reps will be able to direct the patient to the appropriate source.
Responsible for fielding inbound phone calls regarding patients' outstanding medical bills from patients who have been treated at Mayo Clinic.

Taking incoming calls from self-pay patients (uninsured) follow up and contacting patients on outstanding medical debt & assisting with billing inquiries

Collecting unpaid self pay balances in a professional, well-mannered approach.

Respond to patient inquiries i.e. Insurance questions, billing questions, Financial Assistance

Complete and process forms and applications i.e. Credit Cards, Financial Assistance

Request additional account information when necessary

Route calls to appropriate resource if the question cannot be resolved

Complete file/account documentation

Qualifications
