Summary/Objective

The responsibilities of this position are to provide for the seamless integration of client scheduling needs and the best practices and practical application of Blue Line personnel in such a manner as to provide for the best interests of Blue Line Protection Group and its customers. A Scheduler ensures schedules are created and kept while working with employees to make sure operations run on time.

 

Essential Functions

·         Schedules security operators for day to day shift coverage. 

·         Schedules security operators for special events.

·         Schedules and maintains appointments through computerized scheduling program.

·         Uses computer system to add and distribute information to the employees or other appropriate sources.

·         Handles requests within the appropriate scope of practice.

·         Copies, sorts, and assembles documents as needed.

·         Maintains appropriate inventory of printed documents.

·         Maintain satisfactory, regular and predictable attendance by reporting to work as scheduled and keeping unscheduled absences and overtime to a minimum.

·         Ensure all communications reflect the standards and mission of BLPG.

·         Display a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

·         The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position.

 

Job Skills

·         Advanced knowledge of and proficient with Microsoft software programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and similar systems while operating and multitasking on multiple monitors.

·         Create, research, and produce custom reports available on scheduling software.

·         Ability to direct, follow direction, and lead workers.

·         Ability to accurately receive questions and ideas, and direct problems to management while providing guidance for instructions.

·         Communication skills to speak with coworkers and customers on a regular basis.

·         Critical-thinking skills to be able to devise plans of action and asses those plans regularly.

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Problem-solving skills to address problems when they arise and anticipate problems before they happen.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. Frequently required to walk, use hands to type data, operate office equipment, dial the telephone, and reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move 5-10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 lbs. Specific visions abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at 40 hours a week.  Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Travel

Requires employee to drive to office location. No additional travel is required, however, out of state travel may be required depending on the needs of the company.

 

Required Education and Experience

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Knowledge of Word/Excel processing and computer experience necessary.

·         Must be able to read company Letters of Engagements and Service Agreements and understand the human resources needed for specific contracts.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

·         Associates Degree/Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Administration, or Business.

·         Military, law enforcement, or security experience.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Previous experience in scheduling, office settings, or similar role.

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must possess all licensures/badging required by industry: state and federal entities, and the organization.
