This Senior Six Sigma Consultant position is a hybrid Master Black Belt / Black Belt role with the Franchise Performance Group. This role will coach Black Belts within the business and partner with business leaders to drive Operational Excellence deployment. The position will also lead large-scale, cross-functional projects requiring the application of DMAIC, DMADV, Lean and Project Management skills.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Coaching Black Belts, Green Belts and other Lean Six Sigma practitioners in their application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Facilitating Lean, Kaizen, Rapid Decision Making and other problem solving and improvement sessions
Applying DMAIC, DMADV, Lean and Project Management methodologies to successfully complete improvement projects and realize targeted benefits
Developing Operational Excellence strategy and goals with accountability to meet goals for assigned business areas
Providing expert knowledge and support of Operational Excellence strategies across UnitedHealthcare
Influencing business partners to drive adoption and organizational maturity in Lean Six Sigma

Required Qualifications:

BA / BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and / or equivalent education and experience

5+ years of Lean Six Sigma and Project Management experience

Certified Black Belt with demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects and perform in a Master Black Belt role

3+ years of experience planning and tracking projects, working with large data sets and making data - driven analytical decisions

Strong Minitab skills with ability to select, apply and coach the appropriate tools

Moderate to advanced Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely

Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate process improvement events and meetings with all levels of stakeholders

Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and balance multiple accountabilities
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Project Management Office (PMO)

Project Management Certification

Previous experience teaching Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology in a classroom setting
