Position Title: Structural Detailer- (Structural Designer)

Location: Lantana, FL

Position Overview:

I am currently working with a reputable company that specializes in the fabrication and erection of Bar Joist, Structural Steel, Metal Decking, Railings, Stairs Louvers and Miscellaneous Metals. They are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer that will interpret architectural/structural design drawings, in order to create fabrication and erection shop drawings for structural steel within tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural steel shop drawings utilizing SDS/2 (or other) steel detailing software.
• Prepare steel erection plans as well as detailing individual structural steel members.
• Prepare steel shop drawings for miscellaneous steel.
• Generate and verify bill of materials for field construction
• Prepare take-offs from bid package drawings, to assist in quote preparation
• Maintain deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
• Travel to sites for field notes and dimensions on projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience producing structural steel fabrication and erection shop drawings
• Knowledge of shop fabrication layout and erection process
• Experienced in connection detailing
• Experience with CAD software (Experience with one of a combination of the following: Tekla, Autocad, Fabtrol, Inventor, Revit, BIM,
• Current working knowledge/understanding of the latest version of the AISC regulations/requirements and building codes, as they relate to connection design, detailing practices, steel member dimensions and properties.
