General Responsibilities:

The primary mission of the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, is to supervise all Accounts Payable Staff and monitor the teams and any outsource partners performance; they are to provide guidance, training and coaching opportunities as well as assistance with resolution of escalated issues and any other payables related day-to-day activities in order to ensure efficient Invoice and Payment transaction flow into the General Ledger and pay the right supplier, the right amount at the right time, every time.

The key responsibilities and primary functions of the Accounts Payable Supervisor:
  1. Directly supervises all Accounts Payable staff and monitors outsourcing partners to provide a fully operational and efficient Accounts Payable service to internal /external customers.
  2. Manages transactional backlogs and drives / assists / supports any remediation efforts.
  3. Ensures compliance with Accounts Payables / P2P Policies and Procedures as well as SOX controls.
  4. Manages Execution of Accounts Payable Month End Communication / Process / Reporting and ensures required Accruals (VDA, TANGOE etc.) and related reconciliations are delivered to the A2R team.
  5. Reports and investigates critical issues and provides solutions / corrective actions in a timely manner.
  6. Develops direct reports through training / coaching, Performance Management, goal setting and active feedback.
  7. Monitors staff turnover and attendance to ensure company guidelines and HR policies are adhered to.
  8. Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained and follows recruitment process when required.

Mandatory Requirements:

Educational Background:
  • Associates degree
  • Bachelor’s degree preferable

Professional Experience:
  • 2+ years People Management experience
  • 2+ years Finance experience
  • Project Management Experience preferable

Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Team Management / Building
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Accounts Payable Processes / Procedures preferable
  • Experience in other business areas preferable
  • Oracle / ERP system knowledge preferable
  • Lean Six Sigma / Project Management experience preferable
