Primary Responsibilities:

Identify data abnormalities that are or could have the ability to impact analytic development and performance
One time data pulls
Develop metrics to provide forecasting of new rule values and FTE needs
Add SQL logic into our Policy and Procedure documents for new analytics and maintenance for existing documents as the analytic logic changes
Code all production analytic revisions while working directly with the Business Analyst on testing the output
Analytic development and implementation into our production environment
Monitor monthly/weekly data loads and kick off all production analytic reruns
Monthly analysis of analytic performance; forecasted vs. actuals
Maintenance of existing analytics to drive maximum performance on output and efficiencies
Weekly management reports outlining work completed and issues encountered
Screen scrape and automation ideation and development as well as maintaining existing automations and scrapes
Populate and analyze monthly data reconciliation to identify potential data issues
Create and maintain reports required for our business partners
Execute all monthly automations, screen scrapes, and waste reductions
Competencies and Best Practices for High Performers:

Breakdown complex problems into individual root causes
In-depth understanding of database structures
Perform data analysis in Tableau and present findings to the management teams
Assist on client calls and serve as subject matter expert on all data fields, values, and adjustment logic
Identify, refine, and develop criteria to successfully increase efficiency of analytic logic
Serve as a team lead in the absence of the Analytics Manager
Subject matter expert on client exclusions
Assist management and sales with product assessments for new business
Train and perform peer SQL and Visual Basic code review
Lead special projects with little to no manager supervision or assistance
Perform all quality assurance steps for new client implementations and file layout changes
Extensive knowledge with more than one data set

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst
3+ Professional IT experience in a large, enterprise environment
5+ years of SQL experience
1+ year of Visual Studio, C++, or other OO language
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to successfully communicate and present ideas to colleagues, clients and senior management
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access
Preferred Qualifications:

Health care industry, Medical Claims experience
Process Automation and/or Process Improvement experience
Bachelor’s Degree
