Lab Technician - Full-time / Part-time

This position is for a laboratory technician working within a plating facility.

A typical day begins with looking at the "start up sheet" which basically lays out what needs and pulling samples from the plating baths. Following collection of the samples, the lab tech will be responsible for testing of the samples, as well as handling reporting. Reporting is done through Excel, so experience and proficiency with Excel is mandatory.

For sample processing, the lab technician will do testing such as titrations, utilizing the Atomic Absorption, pH testing, as well as centrifuge. Basic wet chemistry testing on nickel finishing.

The shift on Monday- Friday is 6am-4pm. Right now they are also working every Saturday from 7am-3pm and some Sundays on 7am-3pm. The goal is to decrease these hours through more hiring for the lab, but right now the candidate needs to be comfortable working 50-56 hours per week.

Must Have:
-Bachelor of Science in biochemistry or chemistry)
-If not degree, 3-5 years of experience working in finishing, plating, coatings, etc.
-Must be energetic. This will be a heavy work load.

Nice to Have:
-Plating experience
-Nickel experience
