Job Title: Body Technician

SUMMARY
Repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership
specifications and time standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being
performed or cause a change in the promised time.
Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including
respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous
materials. Reports any deviations to management.
Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect
body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrives to work on time.
Follows instructions from a supervisor.
Interacts effectively with co-workers.
Understands and follows work rules and procedures.
Accepts constructive criticism.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.

* Adherence to all attendance and punctuality standards.
* Adherence to timekeeping standards; Employees are required to record the beginning and ending times of any shift, meal break or departure from work for personal
reasons.
* Understand and follow all work rule policies and procedures.
* Follow the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
* Maintains a professional clean and pressed business appearance as determined by dealership management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. ASE certification preferred. General mechanical skills. Valid driver s license and a good driving record. Manual dexterity. Good judgment.
Working Conditions:
The Technician will stand six to eight hours per shift, lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift, and use hoist and test equipment as needed. S/he will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. S/he will use hand and power tools. S/he will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Road-testing of vehicles may be required. The Technician will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.
