Medical Underwriter - Wauwatosa, WI or Telecommute - Full-time / Part-time

Primary Responsibilities:


Review new applicants' medical history to evaluate risk and assess data to determine group plan pricing

Collaborate with financial underwriting, case installation and sales teams

Develop knowledge as a subject matter expert in Medical Underwriting
 
 

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance or equivalent work experience.

0-2 years of experience in underwriting

Proficiency experience with MS Office suite (including Word, Excel)
 Preferred Qualifications:


Medical terminology

Effective analytical and problem solving skills, sound judgment, strong decision making ability and confidence to make difficult decisions

Excellent oral and written communication skills
