Servo/Proportional Valve Technician

$20-$25/HR

Overview: Rebuild of electro-hydraulic servo vales

Responsibilities
  • Inspect servo valves/proportional valves upon arrival.
  • Evaluate incoming performance of valves, including leakage, hysteresis, etc. on test bench
  • Troubleshoot valves by performing various tests, analyze data, disassemble valves, clean parts
  • Determine feasibility of repairing, and compare to New OEM Specs
  • Purchase parts needed to perform repairs, and stock for future use
  • Replace parts needed, and repair servo/proportional valves to New Manufacturer's Specification
  • Calibrate valves and do final Outgoing tests on bench, record incoming/outgoing performance (input date and file records) inluding graphing and flow plots
  • Troubleshoot with customers via phone
  • Keep inventory up to date of parts and components
Skills and Experience
  • Career opportunity for honorably discharged Veteran or trade technician/mechanic with the following experience
  • Applicant should possess exceptional mechanical aptitude
  • Must have an understanding of basic electronics, hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, and an understand of Electro Mechanical principles
  • Experience using precision instrumentation and understanding tolerances
  • Experience using electronic test equipment
  • Must have attention to detail, be analytical, and technical in nature
  • Must work well with independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
