The Product Director is a vital component to our success and future growth.  This position is responsible for the design of solutions including all aspects of a service delivery model through cross-functional and cross segment coordination in preparation to respond to a Medicaid Managed Care request for proposal (RFP).  This person will work with internal constituents including by not limited to Business Development, Proposal leaders, Health Plan leaders and functional owners to determine the appropriate solutions needed to meet or exceed our state partners expectations and to drive the resolutions necessary for the effective pre-planning of the RFP response.  This person will also assume the role of a subject matter expert for population attributes and using will be a resource to internal constituents including senior leadership.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Product Design

Responsible for cross-functional and cross-segment coordination of product designs to support C&S growth opportunities and strategic imperatives
Engage with Business Development leaders, Proposal Leaders and Health Plan leaders throughout the pre-proposal response development to identify priorities, assess opportunities, barriers and risks
Perform population and landscape analysis to drive enhanced knowledge and understanding of opportunity.  This includes gathering, analyzing, validating applicable data / information from internal and external sources
Drive resolution for decisions; problem solve and ensure process excellence throughout proposal response development; Ensure strategies and decisions address applicable market expectations and priorities, support C&S as the Medicaid market leader and are thoroughly documented and transitioned to functional owners for seamless implementation
Population Attributes

Perform population and landscape analysis to drive understanding of population attributes.  This includes gathering, analyzing, validating applicable data / information from internal and external sources to identify population characteristics, needs and challenges
Develop and deliver population training and education for applicable internal audiences on population attributes
Ensure development of solutions needed to meet population attributes
Product Framework Development

Responsible for development of core program designs that articulate appropriate service delivery for targeted populations.   These frameworks will highlight scaleable and sustainable organizational capabilities
Perform analysis to drive understanding of program design needs and expected outcomes.  This includes gathering, analyzing, validating applicable data from internal and external sources to identify population characteristics, needs and challenges
Other responsibilities as needed, to support other Product Design initiatives including but not limited to support for Employment and Housing Frameworks and initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, business or related field
7+ years of Product Development and / or Product Management experience
Proven ability to research and analyze healthcare trends and develop solutions to address them
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align people, related strategies and recommendations with business objectives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management, change management and execution experience
Adaptable and flexible style of collaborating with key stakeholders to set direction
Proven ability to assess and interpret customer needs and requirements and drive toward creative and resourceful solutions
Preferred Qualifications:

Expert knowledge of and interest in the Medicaid or Medicare population and individuals who serve them
MBA or Master’s degree
