Maintenance - Full-time / Part-time

Some people say cleanliness is next to godliness. At Nathan’s Famous we like to provide a clean and pristine environment for our customers to dine in. We also need to maintain a clean and pristine environment in our kitchen and preparation areas to keep the restaurant up to health and hygiene codes. It is through the help of this position that we accomplish these goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Discretely clean round customers making sure the space is immaculate to the best of their abilities at all times. Maintain a warm friendly attitude towards customers, always being helpful when possible.
• Assist in cleaning the bathrooms, general open areas, as well as kitchen, preparation, office and private bathrooms.
• Use only approved cleaning chemicals, never mixing i.e. (bleach with ammonia) and keep chemicals away from food.
• Always follow wash, rinse, sanitize, air dry sequence when doing dishes and cleaning tables,
• Help others when s/he gets done, i.e. doing trays etc.
• Recognize guest situations and report them to management.

Qualifications: 

• Flexible; as every day has different assignments.
• Attention to detail
• Able to work in high volume environment.
• Must be honest, friendly
• Multitasker
• Must be able to read and write English clearly
• Must be able to work all holidays

Physical Requirements: 

• Able to stand for long periods of time; always cleaning.
• Perform general physical activities such as cleaning, stacking and lifting equipment. (Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.)
• Energetic and able to move in hot/fast paced environment.
