Plant Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include:

• Troubleshoot and maintain the outside plant, including aerial, underground, and block wire system.
• Correct outages and signal leakages, respond to plant calls, and noise and error troubleshooting.

To qualify, you must have:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED; at least 2+ years of previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Driving is a requirement for this position. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
• Must to able to read and interpret maps and building plans
• Must have the ability to read and interpret HFC design maps
• Must be able to work with various power and tools such as electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
• Knowledge of CATV required
• Ability to operate aerial booms
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• The maximum body weight for use of the majority of such equipment is 325 pounds
• Desire to work outside in diverse locations and weather extremes
• Availability to work various shift hours and standby coverage
• Must have ability to park a commercial vehicle off street at their home residence
