JOB SUMMARY





This position is responsible for Content Operations tactic execution for hotels enrolled in Digital Services by Marriott (DS), across Marriott Hotel Websites (HWS), Online Travel Agents (OTA), Global Distribution (GDS) and additional digital channels. The Senior Analyst, Content Operations will assist in the execution of content operations tactics that support the objectives outlined in a hotel’s annual Digital Business Plan.

The Sr. Analyst, Content Operations will assist Client Service Managers, performing digital marketing strategies that support the management of their content and images within the Marriott Digital ecosystem, driving natural search room night growth goals and optimal positioning of Marriott Hotel Websites within search engines. All tactics are designed to be economically viable, efficient, repeatable, KPI-driven, and scalable.

The Senior Analyst, Content Operations is tasked with staying up-to-date on industry best-practices and works to implement new techniques and tactics within Digital Services programs. This position will work cross-functionally with various Marriott Digital teams to advance the value of content and photography at the hotel level. This role includes collaboration with Digital Services Program Management Strategists, Analyst(s), vendors, aiding in the implementation of merchandising tactics across programs and for special projects. This position reports to the Manager, Content Operations.

The Sr. Analyst, Content Operations position lives within Digital Services by Marriott (DS), Marriott’s comprehensive in-house digital services program for hotels. This centralized in-house team provides individual hotels with a range of digital services, and functions as an agency-like model within the Digital Services organization.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience
  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience (digital marketing, CMS operations, content management, SEO, communications etc.)
  • Agency internship or work experience preferred; tactical execution responsibilities a plus.


CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
  • Manages execution of all content operations related tactics that support the overarching Marriott Digital strategies and goals.
  • Assists in creating training guidelines and documentation (as needed) to continually improve content operations tactic quality and effectiveness.
  • Assists in prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing work within respective Center of Excellence.
  • Easily adapts to the ever-changing digital landscape to implement new processes and execute on new tactics.
  • Manages execution of the following tactics:
    • Marriott HWS content and photography management and updates
    • OTA content and photography management and updates
    • Photography upload and processing
    • OTA content score opportunities
    • Third-party website photography distribution
    • Comprehensive digital content auditing
    • Photo gallery optimization


Content Management and Execution
  • Evaluates and reviews content deliverables, like on-site website content, from in-house creatives, agencies and freelancers.
  • Implements updates to Marriott HWS and global sites + approved Meta-Search sites and OTAs, such as Expedia, Booking.com, etc.
  • Reviews content for quality guidelines and standards; manages updates as necessary.
  • Researches and analyzes specific hotels and their locations to provide customized strategies.
  • Complies with editorial guides and standards to ensure quality, consistency and brand voice on HWS
  • Reviews photography requirements and usage rights to comply with HWS standards.
  • Supports the implementation of Global site content and Global Product Marketing Modules (PMM)
  • Executes pilot activities for new strategies and tactics in collaboration with the Content Strategist and Operations Manager.
  • Cross trained on tactics regularly managed by Sr. Analyst, Content Marketing Operations to support with execution when needed.


Owning Relationships
  • Works cross-functionally with Digital Services Program Development, partner corporate, brand and support teams to advance content opportunities at the hotel level.
  • Manages the flow of questions and directs inquiries to the appropriate party – vendor, agency, Client Service Manager, manager, etc.


Supporting Operations
  • Works with team to execute sustainable work processes that support the Content Operations Center of Excellence.
  • Employs laser focus on tactic quality and efficiency, working to ensure deliverables are completed to Digital Services standards and timelines.
  • Maintains a strong partnership with Content Marketing Operations, Center of Excellence through shared tactic execution.
  • Assists Content Strategist with special projects and piloting processes.
  • Employs the project management system and other resources in place to track tactical work for DS programs.
  • Utilizes internal Marriott content management systems, as well as outside vendor dashboards and tools.
  • Establishes and maintains documentation to track progress and completion for content related tactics.


Tools and Vendors
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of all Marriott internal platforms and systems, including Enterprise Property Information Center (EPIC), Marriott Digital Asset Management (MDAM), Hotel Websites (HWS), Product Marketing Modules (PMM), RoomKey, Mobile App, etc.
  • Assists in training on tactical processes and best practices to Analyst(s), Client Services, vendors and freelance content writers.
  • Manages day-to-day agency and vendor relationships, ensuring quality of work and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Provides training and support on internal Marriott content systems and tools.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintains positive working relations with internal partner teams, vendors, internal Client Service and Operations teams.
