Inside Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable individual capable of growing a business in a competitive market that has competitive pay, benefits and advancement opportunities.

Under the direction of the Inside Sales Manager, Inside Sales Representatives are responsible to manage new accounts from the office while working hand-in-hand with Outside Sales to maintain and grow existing accounts assigned in a territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain customer relationships with new and assigned customer accounts
  • Follow-up on all generated quotes to assure that the customer is being serviced and to anticipate the potential opportunity to earn the business
  • Demonstrate and familiarize established accounts with new products and services and developments
  • Participate fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes.
  • Handling cancellations or changes in sales order and communicating the changes with the related departments.
  • Occasionally participate in Ride-alongs with Outside Sales Rep to help build relationships with customers as well as prepare for other sales opportunities within the company
  • Resolve and coordinate customer concerns, including delivery errors, short shipments, returns of damaged product
  • Communicate effectively through product knowledge
  • Participate in public speaking through sales presentations
  • Identify and support customer sales needs including providing literature, marketing supplies, samples, price pages, etc.
  • Process customer quotes, orders and RMA's when needed.
  • Develops an effective and productive working relationship with Outside Sales Representatives and support personnel; encourages and assists in their training and development when possible.
  • High School Diploma or degree in sales or closely related field with three years of relevant sales and industry experience; or equivalent combined education and on the job experience.

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent telephone personality skills
  • Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications.
  • Demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
  • Develop knowledge of the industry within a given market.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations
  • Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, safety rules, professional journals, technical procedures, etc.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
