Work Schedule: Varies; Sunday through Friday
Reports to: Store Manager, First Assistant Manager
Direct Reports: General Employees-Non Management, Managers in Training
 
Job Summary
Every manager is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her store. In addition to ensuring
that the store contributes to the increased profitability of the company, all managers must adhere to company
policies and procedures.
 
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators
Job Knowledge and Responsibilities
 Perform specific tasks as assigned by the Store Manager and First Assistant Manager, Supervisors, or Office
Personnel.
 Keep updated with the company price book, operations manual, bulletins, memos, and other pertinent
information provided by the store manager or the company.
 Adhere to all city, county, and state tobacco and liquor regulations.
 Share the responsibility for controlling store inventory.
 Create a positive store culture by treating employees fair and with respect.
 Accurately post sales, invoices, markups and markdowns, store use of merchandise, voids, and bad
merchandise write-offs, within established guidelines; perform category counts as directed.
 
Service Orientation
 Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure the store associates do the same.
 Ensure Store Manager is advised of all cash (to include cash over/shorts in excess of $5.00), sales and/or operation discrepancies.
 
Communication, Collaboration, and Teamwork
 Project a positive image of the company and the store at all times.
 Assist the Store Manager and Management Support Team with the day-to-day operation of the store and
supervision of the store associates.
 Work in a team-like fashion with other associates to accomplish goals and tasks.
 
Planning, Organizing, and Accountability
 Observe shift operating hours at all times, as assigned by the Store Manager.
 In the absence of the Store Manager and First Assistant Manager, must assign team members as needed to ensure all shifts are covered. Must follow work schedule as posted unless changes are made in advance with
the Store Manager.
 Assist in cashier training as directed.
 
Initiative, Problem-Solving, and Decision Making
 Assist the Store Manager and First Assistant Manager in ensuring that the store maintains a store inspection
grade of at least 94% on the store Image Evaluation.
 Ensure flawless execution of company programs
 
Support the Mission of Warrenton Oil Company
 Give all customers prompt and courteous service and ensure store associates do the same.
 
Job may require other duties as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent
combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be
designated by position.)
 High school diploma or equivalent.

 Must be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
 Must be able to climb ladders.
 Be able to enter a 33-degree cooler and work there for up to 30 minutes at a time
 Must be able to work alone.
