TITLE: Coffee Bar Clerk
BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: Prepares coffee drinks and related food items as requested by customer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly, courteous customer service.
Fills customer orders by preparing specialty coffee drinks, and by obtaining items from cases, shelves, etc.
Performs cashier duties including cash counts, totals, reconciling daily or shift cash transactions and point-of-sale functions. Receives payment from customer for purchases and makes change.
Cleans shelves, tables and coolers.
Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise.
Restocks shelves, coolers, counters and containers.
Describes available specialty products, and educates customers on coffee products and related merchandise.
Responsible for performing all job duties and responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
Other necessary and required duties.
SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful and to maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers. Must possess good oral and written communication.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; taste and smell product. Ability to stand, walk and move rapidly for long periods of time, and bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
Mental alertness is required to ensure safe, accurate completion of work activities and to do repetitious work accurately.
Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties. Working conditions consist of a temperature controlled store environment.
