A successful Learning Technology Manager will have the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Previous Project Management experience a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication ability, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff
  • Proven ability to handle / resolve conflict; experience managing multiple projects/programs
  • Be flexible, innovative and have the ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment while being personal and professional

DISH is looking for a Learning Technology Manager to join our Sales Training and Support department to manage a small group of developers and analysts that support our different learning platforms including Jive Software, our Learning Management System and Business Partner website. The Learning Technology Manager is also responsible for working with our software vendors to determine overall roadmap and budget. The team is looking for someone who has great communication skills and is able to drive results by working with different teams. An attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, critical thinking, creative problem solving, and flexibility are keys to success in this role.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of developers and analysts by providing direction, requirements, and prioritization
  • Working with leadership to determine overall strategy and product roadmap
  • Working with vendors to determine budget, contract obligations, and invoicing
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to identify improvements and implement change
  • Ability to communicate well with IT and business stakeholders
  • Creating and defining development processes for team to adhere to
  • Working cross-functions with teams to help drive results
  • Leveraging data/analytics to make decisions
  • Proactively identifying and resolving strategic issues that may impair the ability to meet goals.
