Do you enjoy working on search campaigns that drive a business? Do you want to be part of a team that is on the bleeding edge of digital? Charter Communications, the #2 broadcast media company in the US is looking for a Manager – Search Engine Marketing to join its Stamford, CT based team.

We are looking for an SEM expert to manage pay-per-click (PPC) marketing activities across our entire portfolio of customer - a mix of Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B)-- SEM campaigns from inception through post-campaign analysis.


A successful SEM Manager will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the digital team to maximize ROI and drive consistent revenue growth.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Manage the sales strategy of our search agency to drive sales through development of bid strategies and optimizations. Additionally, you will need to communicate the effectiveness of the strategy to our agency through daily reports.
  • Analyze individual campaign performance to derive actionable insights to improve performance on conversion rates and optimize cost of program– then own the execution of these new ideas, start to finish, with feedback from agency/peers/ manager /executives.
  • Managing campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs, forecasting revenue and reconciling discrepancies and invoices.
  • Produce post-campaign reports and analysis, including recommendations for improvement and expansion. Be able to present results at cross-functional meetings.
  • Coordinate Search channel’s day-to-day trafficking, test execution, optimization and trouble-shooting to ensure all conversions are tracked.
  • Build relationships with our key publishers and marketing technology partners.
  • Uphold the Brand, product, and legal guidelines across ad copy, landing pages, Buyflows, and call centers.
  • Coordinate the execution of new landing pages, leveraging best practices in desktop, mobile and tablet. Additionally, optimize existing landing pages in market to increase conversion KPIs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:
  • 2 - 4 years proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across all search engines for an e-commerce or direct response brand
  • Well versed in performance marketing, conversion, and on line customer acquisition.
  • An in-depth understanding of key industry metrics and the ability to recognize how they drive the business (e.g. CPC, CTR, CPA, CVR and Quality Score).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise.
  • Experience with managing external agencies
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
  • Tech savvy and experienced in using paid search online tracking and management tools (e.g. Adwords, DoubleClick Search, Microsoft Bing Ads, Yahoo! Gemini, and other SEM tools).
  • Knowledgeable about current marketing trends, advertising tactics, and CPA business models.
  • Familiarity with Online Analytics platforms, preferably Adobe Omniture
  • Strong, clear and straightforward analytical, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to think strategically.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g.t tables, V-looks ups)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services.
  • Familiarity with Omniture, Google Analytics, Salesforce.com or other CRM systems, and HTML knowledge
  • Familiarity with extracting data from Micro Strategy, or other database systems.Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher Marketing or a quantitative, test driven field and/or an equivalent experience required.
