Job Summary: The Golf Course maintenance Irrigation Tech is responsible for maintaining the condition of the irrigation system.  Including all repairs and troubleshooting.   

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·         Irrigation system management, repair, adjustments and troubleshooting

·         Daily monitoring of all aspects of irrigation system

·         Checking soil moisture on the golf course 

·         Equipment operation

·         Spray technician responsibilities

·         Training, guidance and coaching of golf maintenance staff members

·         Environmental monitoring

·         Record keeping

Qualifications:

·         Knowledge of agronomy and turf grass management practices; a working knowledge of golf facility construction principles, practices and methods; and a thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of the game of golf.

·         Excellent oral and written communications skills.

·         Griswold and Cla-Val experience, Rainbird controllers and heads, Block and gravity system experience

·         Participation in continuing education opportunities such as seminars, workshops, correspondence courses, field days and trade shows.

·         Spanish language skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Valid drivers license with clean driving record
