Intermediate Sales Associates are responsible for maintaining outstanding guest service per company standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets. Intermediate Sales Associates possesses in-depth knowledge of products, sales concepts, practices, and procedures. Intermediate Sales Associates may assist in the training of current and new employees.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Serves guests by establishing rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and promoting product through point of successful sale.
  • Answer all questions, providing detailed information, and establishing trust with the guest to close of sale.
  • Describing and promoting product in line with guests express needs as well as promoting purchase of related products.
  • Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
  • Drive business by increasing units per transaction and average dollar per sale.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of products and inventory to ensure guest satisfaction to aid in building repeat guest base.
  • Serve as a resource and knowledge base for new and existing employees.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Previous retail sales and guest service experience within outdoor industry – preferably within cycling, skiing, snowboarding, and golf.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry
  • Commitment to providing excellent guest service
  • Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends
