Kerry manufactures and delivers the largest and most innovative portfolio of Taste and Nutrition systems and ingredients. At the local facility in Evansville, they are making bread crumbs for various food items, such as chicken nuggets and cheese sticks.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to keep the production lines up and running.

90% of the job will be focused on production and 10% facilities. A breakdown of mechanical versus electrical duties will be 60% mechanical troubleshooting and repairs 20% electrical troubleshooting and repairs and 20% preventative maintenance on the machines.

They will primarily be focused on upkeep of autopackers, labelers and palletizer equipment. They will also assist operators set the machines up after batch changeovers, as needed.

Common tasks will include wiring switches, starters, breakers, working within electrical panels up to 480volt, running conduit and troubleshooting photo switches/sensors, changing out 3 phase motors, repairing hydraulics, basic PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley), adjusting suction cups, assisting with changeovers and machine setup.

Work Schedule:
-2PM - 10PM 7 days/week during the first 120 days. During the probationary period they want them to work as much as possible so they can evaluate their skill set. They can work more than 8 hr. shifts as desired, but have to work a minimum of 8 hrs.

After 120 days and they are hired in permanently (given a fully staffed team), a more fixed work schedule will be implemented and they will have a day off every 3 weekends.

Pay Rate:
Maintenance Tech would start at $24.12 and the 2nd shift gets $0.25 for shift premium for a starting total of $24.37. An additional .80 cents for the lead position making the total at $25.17.
