Drafter/Modeler

Work in a team to characterize OEM hardware and interpret data relative to engine orientation and position. Produce models, drawings and other electronic data files for the manufacture of Industrial Gas Turbine Engine components.

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Characterize OEM hardware.
*Document and interpret all recorded data.
*Model and draft utilizing 3D CADD software Unigraphics or Pro-E.
*Create electronic data files that support part definition for manufacturing.
*Effectively interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
*Calculate proper fits and tolerances to agree with corresponding dimensions of adjacent components.
*Consider manufacturing, inspection feasibility and design intent.
*Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision.
*Adhere to schedules and commitments.

Qualifications:

*2-year Mechanical Drafting degree or comparable experience.
3-10 years experinece
*Experience in 3D CADD modeling Pro Engineer (creo) and/or Unigraphics.
*Knowledge of drafting standards (ANSI & ASME Y14.5M).
Must have engine experience (jet engine, aerospace, or IGT)
*Understanding of appropriate drawing layout and presentation.
*Able to calculate fits, clearances, and tolerances.
*Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
*Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
*Ability to work in a professional, friendly, team environment.
*Limited travel required.
