About this job

A Recruitment Coordinator recruits local business and community leaders throughout a defined geographic area and invites them to participate in a local fundraising event called a "Lock-Up". The RC's only responsibility is to recruit the participants, not solicit funds for the organization. We provide the RCs with leads, scripts and necessary training and coaching. We prefer candidates that have a sales background, not customer service. The skill set that candidates possess with a sales background allow them to be comfortable "selling" the client & the Lockup program over the phone. We also strongly encourage candidates that have outbound calling experience in both a call center atmosphere as well as in a smaller setting. It is also important to note that this is a goal-oriented position.
What is a Lock-Up?
A Lock-Up is a national fundraising event where business and community leaders agree to become "jailbirds" and raise "bail" money though their business and personal contacts. On the day of the event, the "jailbirds" are picked up in a luxurious paddy wagon, brought to the mock jail (usually held at a hotel or upscale restaurant) where they are sentenced, receive their souvenir mug shot and turn in the money they have raised. While they are there they network with other business professionals and gain exposure for their company. We ask for at least an hour, however when they are ready to go, the paddy wagon takes them back to work.
Recruitment Coordinator Information:

Hours Mon-Thur 9am-4:30pm, One hour lunch 12:00pm-1:00pm. 2 paid 10 minute breaks at 10:30am and 2:30pm. Hours on Friday are 9:00am-12:30pm (10 min break at 10:30).
No work on Holidays (RCs are off the entire week of Thanksgiving as well as 2 weeks at Christmas/New Years).
Recruiting occurs year-round. Assignment is not on a temporary basis. (We are looking for long-term employees).
Dress Code is business casual Monday-Thursday and casual on Friday.
Calls are made manually - we do not use an automatic/computerized dialing system.
100% out-bound phone calls!

Requirements

Be extremely professional and comfortable dealing exclusively with top management and executives. Be interested in 100% outbound phone sales. Be AGGRESSIVE and have the ability to MOTIVATE others over the phone. Be Goal-Oriented, enthusiastic and energetic. Have a POSITIVE attitude and willingness to take direction. Be ARTICULATE and CONFIDENT. Be COMPETITIVE and SELF-MOTIVATED. Have RELIABLE transportation & commit to regular work schedule. Telemarketing and/or sales experience is helpful. Not take NO for an answer – Be PERSISTENT. Be thorough and keep ACCURATE/COMPLETE records.
