About this job
Who
Our client is a globally recognized automotive industry specializing in security components and restraints. They are located just North of the Indianapolis Castleton area.
What
They're two positions open for a new division being created specifically to crash parts to ensure these components are effective. One Mechanical Drafter and one Product Engineer is needed to complete the team.
Must Haves
Mechanical Drafter
1. 3-5 years of heavy CAD design, ability to make 2D and 3D models from scratch
2. high proficiency in Solidworks, specifically with Sheet Metal option (flattening models): no training in 1st week, need to hit ground running
3. experience with Sheet Metal, Tubing, and Weldment manufacturing processes
4. at least an Associate's Degree OR 10+ years of experience
5. firm commitment to 3-6 month contract position
Product Engineer
1. Bachelors degree: Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
2. 3-8 years of experience with design and development, specifically with steel structures, metal fabrication/tubing, plastics, or similar materials
3. experience facilitating testing, DFMEA, validation, and spending time on manufacturing floor
4. ability to work with suppliers and internal teams
5. proficiency with Solidworks
Additional Information
The minimum time this contract to hire will be for is 6 months, with these specific projects last for minimally a year. Our client is globally recognized, and would provide great experience for anybody that joins their team.
