We are seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Linux System Administrator with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our American Fork, UT based team. This individual will work first hand with the latest technology in Internet streaming television.

A successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree (CS, EE, Math, Information Technology or other technical area); or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 year of experience with Linux administration
• 1 year of experience with administrative use of scripting such as BASH, Python and SQL scripting languages
• At least 1 year of proven experience in a highly available service 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supporting computer systems within a live production service environment
• Database configurations and administration including SQL
• Network architectures including web servers, web caches, databases, storage area networks, clustered storage systems, routing, etc
• Good logical and problem-solving skills
• Video encoding experience

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Design/deploy/operate expanding systems for a critical, highly available OTT  TV solution in an emerging market
• Manage the technology that powers Sling TV’s service in support of world-class internet television
• Maintain systems that transcode content into Sling TV’s format and make it available for consumption
• Allow publishers to manage their video assets
• Provide reporting on viewership
