Healthcare Financial Analyst

  • POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Business Analyst will provide assistance with Prospect Physician Enterprise (PPE), a national employed physician segment, initiatives with a variety of data analysis, including supporting the PPE Co-President's with dashboard development & maintenance as well as financial analysis of local health network physician operations, financial projections, new service and business development and acquisition proposals. This position is also responsible for creating, reporting and analyzing ad hoc reports as necessary.  This position is responsible for obtaining business intelligence information obtained from a variety of sources, including financial, operational, productivity and quality data.  It requires the ability to analyze health care business intelligence data from conceptualization through presentation. It requires proficiency with analytical tools, knowledge of data analysis methodology, use of presentation software, strong communication skills and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service.

     

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    ·         BS Accounting/Finance or MIS, MBA/MHA Preferred.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    ·         Five (5) years progressively responsible professional experience in financial analysis and data extraction and management.

    ·         Experience with healthcare revenue cycle and clinical systems.

    ·         Experience with dashboard tools.

    ·         Strong experience with SQL/SQL server, or other equivalent data mining.

    ·         Experience with decision support systems preferred.  

    ·         Experience with development of pro-forma financial statements is preferred.

     

    COMPETENCIES:

    ·         Knowledge of the principles of financial analysis.

    ·         Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including (but not limited to) Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

    ·         Has highly proficient mathematical and analytical skills.

    ·         Demonstrated effectiveness in problem solving.

    ·         Effective oral & written communication skills, including formulating recommendations and conducting presentations for management.
