A company in Hopkins, MN is looking to hire machine operators on their 1st shift 5:00am - 3:30pm Monday -Friday. Due to excess work they are working 5X10hour shifts. Paid overtime after reaching 40 hours. This position is responsible for setting up and operating metal expanding machines. There are 7 different machines with the opportunity to cross train. Set up of machines will be manual and use hand tools, power tools and complex work orders. This individual will also need to perform troubleshooting and adjustments as needed. They will also perform spot checks with various measurement tools. (Digital micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.)
Machine Operator Job Duties:
- Set up and operation of metal expanding machines
- Utilizing hand tools, power tools and work orders
- Perform basic troubleshooting
- Spot check and measure products
- Document process and final products
- Operate sit down forklifts
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Machine Operator Skills and Qualifications:
- Read and interpret work order
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Stable work history
Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION LEVEL:
- High School OR GED
JOB TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to learn new processes
- Hand tools and power tools
Position Details:
Location- Hopkins, MN
Shift- 5:00am -3:30pm Monday-Friday (includes the mandatory overtime)
Pay- $14-$15/hr *Based on Experience and qualifications
