Position Title:                                Crew Person

 

 

Summary Duties & Responsibilities

The position of Crew Person is responsible and accountable for successful performance of tasks within an assigned unit at Baker's Burgers.  The Crew Person has the responsibility to provide industry leading customer service, prepare food and beverages to company expectations, maintain unit's cleanliness and meet all local, state, and federal health guidelines. Always maintains a positive attitude with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Crew Person - Major Duties & Responsibilities
    1. Provide excellent customer service.  Nothing is more important than being courteous, friendly, helpful, and prompt in the attention given to customers.
    2. Responsible for upholding Baker's Burgers Policies and Procedures.
    3. Works assigned station(s) accurately and productively.  Each customer should receive prompt, accurate, fresh food in a friendly environment.
    4. Clean and stock station(s).
    5. Maintains proper storage of perishable goods.  Manages food to ensure proper waste.
    6. Follows all Baker's Burgers policies on food handling to meet local, state, and federal laws.
    7.  Ensures all kitchen utensils, equipment, and supplies are in good, safe condition.
    8. Communicates effectively to keep supervisor informed of potential hazards, guest concerns, food preparation or service concerns, as well as any issue that might impact the operations of the unit.
    9. Continually meets the performance standards; timely completion of assigned tasks with minimum disruption to customers and other employees.
    10. Clean, neat, and well groomed.  Meeting all dress code standards daily.
    11.  Possess basic knowledge of fast food operations, customer service, food preparation, and proper sanitation. 
  2. Secondary requirements

    3. Be precise and punctual at all times.
    4. Provide consistent product portions.
    5. Follow and abide by all safety rules, policies, and procedures.

  3. Special Skills and Duties
    1. Ability to communicate effectively and in a friendly manor with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
    2. Must always be honest.
  4. Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge
    1. Minimum education required: enrollment in high school.
    2. Must be 16 years or older, able to provide work permit as applicable.
    3. Able to pass and maintain county required food handlers certification.
    4. Good verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating with supervisors, customers and fellow employees. 
  5. Physical environment/working conditions
    1. Required to stand for long periods.
    2. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching and over shoulder reaching.
    3. Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
    4. Exposure to a variety of temperatures (hot, cold, and freezing )
    5. Work in close proximity to others.
    6. Exposure to noise, including use of headset device to interact with customers and employees.
    7. Able to move throughout the unit to assist customers and co-workers as necessary.
    8. Work with various cleaning products.
    9. Wear gloves while preparing or handling food. 
    10. Wear personal protective equipment as necessary. 
  6. Equipment used
    1. Ability to use drive-thru headset system.
    2. Ability to use industrial restaurant equipment (e.g. grill, fryer, slicer, steam warmer, etc.).
    3. Ability to use Point of Sale terminal
  7. Other
    1. Able to come to work promptly and regularly.
    2. Requirement to work late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled shifts require. 
    3. Able to take direction and work well with others.
    4. Able to concentrate and perform duties accurately.
