Leads Vendor Engagement and Implementation Projects

Leads vendor implementation from inception to deployment
Establishes a project infrastructure that ensures optimal engagement and communication with Optum and Vendor
Collaborates with vendor on delivery schedule and methodology.
Tracks and maintains project schedule & budget
Proactively identifies risks and issues, plans and executes remediation strategies as necessary.
Establishes , maintains and delivers executive project artifacts including but not limited to

Project Status
Project Risks /Issues & Remediation strategy
Budget Health
Delivery Health
Directs project team with regard to vendor communication to ensure

Professionalism at all times
Clarification , acceptance and approval on all applicable artifacts
Provides direction and enforces the appropriate SDLC with regard to the vendor and the vendor agreement. 
Ensures all aspects of SDLC are covered and Optum business and technology teams have the ability to review and sign off on all deliverables prior to production deployment

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of IT Project Management or IT project leadership
Practical Experience working with vendor or client integration projects
Minimum of 3 years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
Minimum of 1 year experience working in an agile environment
Minimum of 1 year experience working with senior level executives
Excellent communication skills, understands the difference between working with an internal partner vs an external partner
 Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent
Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Experience with MS Project
Experience with MS Visio
Healthcare Industry experience
