Sr Project Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is partnering with a design build firm that is currently about breaking ground on a construction project soon. They are currently seeking to hire a Project Engineer to help support a new construction project set to break ground in the coming weeks.

• The Sr. Project Engineer/Jr. Project Manager will be responsible for:
• Bidding/Buyout of several remaining subcontractor trades.
• Subcontract management of as many of the subcontracted trades as feasible.
• Submittals, RFIs, Invoices, Procurement, closeout typical stuff
• Leading the effort and assisting the Design-Team in completing the final design.
• Leading team meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Assisting the Sr. Superintendent in the field as much as possible to coordinate install & manage field construction activities.

Necessary Experience:

• 3+ Years of experience working for a subcontractor or general contractor.
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors on a job-site.
• Strong organizational skills, strong communication skills.
• Understanding of construction means & methods.

The perfect candidate will understand the following:

• Construction is a Team-Sport. We are looking for an excellent Team-mate that makes us better as a Team.
• Strong skills as a builder, understanding of construction means & methods, field experience.
• We are a Real Estate Developer. However, this position is focused 100% on construction and building our projects. You will get great exposure to Development, but your focus will be on building the projects and that's where we hope your passion lies.
• Understanding of Design-Build delivery methods and understanding of the design-process. Our Construction and Design team are integrated and that's what makes us unique and strong. Our delivery-method is not plan-spec. It's an integrated delivery model and we are looking for a candidate that understands that approach and wants to work in that environment.

They will be helping schedule and work with 20-30 different subcontractors on each job, utilizing Microsoft Projects
