Leading global private equity firm is seeking a Paralegal to work in their NYC office.
Position: Legal Assistant
This position is based in New York and reports to the Senior Attorney. The Legal Assistant's responsibilities will focus on assisting the firm's legal staff in administrative, regulatory and legal matters, generally. The position will interface with legal, compliance and accounting professionals generally
Essential Responsibilities:
Public reporting and regulatory compliance
Fund and entity formation and management
Managing information with respect to the firm's portfolio investments, (iv) assisting in timely SEC filings such as: 13Ds and 13Gs, Forms 3 and 4
Gathering and maintaining information for U.S. Hart-Scott Rodino and foreign anti-trust analysis and filings
Performing Anti-Money Laundering/Know-Your-Client reviews.

Requirements
• 2-3 years prior experience in paralegal role
• corporate, regulatory or administrative experience as a legal assistant at a law firm or financial services firm
• Record of executing functions in a confidential, trustworthy manner
• Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Manage time effectively, good attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines and sets priorities for specific assignments
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Works independently and in a team
