The Business Analyst will support and validate IRB Master Rebate Database information through summarizing pharmaceutical rebate contracts and amendments, validating contract terms and conditions, and referencing various documents and reports. The IRB Project Management Specialist will serve as a liaison with E&I and C&S underwriters, Formulary Consulting Group, Rebate Management, and all other operational teams that oversee rebate accrual in nature. The position will also support custom formulary requests and the monthly oversight of rebate rate validations with a specific focus on Core formulary.
Primary Responsibilities:


Gather and document business requirements

Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clients

Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience

Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products, processes and technologies

Summarize and provide rebate contracts / amendments information

Validate contract terms and conditions

Ensure accuracy of Master Rebate Database updates

Serve as a SME to comprehend and effectively explain rebate changes to the stakeholders

Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues of rebate conditions

Gather information (i.e. Formulary, Prior Authorization, Step Therapy, Tier, Market Basket, etc.) and facilitate all needed requirements to validate applicable rebate rates

Stay aware of formulary strategies and manage and maintain Core formulary grid as well as custom formularies as needed

Analyze and interpret benefit designs

Provide ongoing support to ensure proper implementation and adoption are applied to Master Rebate Database

Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them

Define desired future requirements based on input from all applicable stakeholders

May lead projects

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

2+ years of experience in the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) or health care industry

Ability to translate complex legal terms in a simple concise manner

Ability to convey information cross functionally to all levels of staff

Proficient in the use of MS Office Suites (Excel)

1+ years of experience in business and or finance including analysis experience with a solid understanding of data storage structures

Experience gathering requirements from the client / business and documenting

Experience in analysis of business process and workflow and providing an evaluation, benchmark and/or process improvement recommendations

Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally

Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data

Preferred Qualifications:


SQL experience

VBA experience

Pharm tech experience

Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills

Self-starter, self - motivated, and self-disciplined

Ability to work well with many remote team members

1+ years experience in brand drugs, formularies, benefit designs, and utilization control

Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures
