About this job

Job Description

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining hardware and electrical components for secure/nonsecure telephone applications and related telecommunication equipment. The engineer is involved in all areas of the hardware process from conception to production including board level design, schematic capture and PCB layout, FPGA/programmable device design in VHDL, and board and product level debugging and testing. Required Skills (may include educational):

* Experience in analog and digital design

* Familiarity with schematic entry tools, board layout tools, and board design process

* Familiarity with setup and operation of lab test equipment (i.e. bench power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, frequency generators, etc.)

* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

* Ability to work independently on a variety of projects Desired Skills (may include educational):

* Experience in telecom or defense a plus

* Experience with programmable logic design using VHDL (may include educational) Educational and Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering

* 0 to 2 years of related experience

Qualifications:

BSEE 3.0 or higher GPA 0-3 years experience Analog/digital design
