Job Description

We are seeking a talented, driven, experienced Office Manager to join our Portland Office. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a growing market as we continue to grow and develop the company as a whole.

As the Staffing/Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of individual contributors in an assigned market with accountability for goals, objectives and operational policies. This includes recruiting for our events, finding the best possible staff to work at our client locations, staffing and sales will be required as well. Our team culture is goal-oriented, collaborative and driven to achieve results. Key Responsibilities for the Office Manager include, but not limited to:

  • Sets recruiting and hiring objectives by adhering to company hiring and staffing policies, procedures and techniques.
  • Ensures that proper hiring procedures are being followed in accordance with our HR policies and are compliant with federal and state laws.
  • Communicates staffing goals, deadlines and practices to promote accountability and while setting a clear line of sight for achievement.
  • Leads the team to achieve hiring, sales and fulfillment goals.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with new and existing clients and vendors.
  • Ensures that all operational standards are being adhered to and proper lines of communication are being followed.
  • Meets all reporting deadlines.
  • Participates in on-going company/department training.

*Requirements for the Office Manager*

  • 3+ years of experience in the area of Hospitality, Staffing, Recruiting, Finance and/or Operations in a management capacity
  • Excellent leadership skills in areas of performance management, supervision, training and development
  • Superior analytical skills and creative thinking with demonstrated ability to dive in and quick understand root cause and identify scalable solutions
  • Excellent business judgment and strong written and oral communication skills
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where creative and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
  • Sales driven/understands sales techniques and the importance of qualifying prospects
  • Ability to work under stress with ‘unrealistic’ timelines and expectations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-volume ‘best in class’ events from both the front and back of the house perspective
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of Hospitality and F&B
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of Staffing Industry
  • Sales driven with solid understanding of sales techniques and importance of qualifying prospects
  • Working knowledge of Portland and surrounding areas
