Production company in Bloomington is hiring a Release Analyst!

1st Shift-$20/hr(DOE)

The Release Analyst can affect relationships with customers and the performance of the company. He/she is responsible for customer satisfaction through coordination and communication of customer requirements such that a high level of accuracy and productivity within the supply chain and the company is achieved.

Coordinates with: Customers, Supply Chain (materials) staff, Assembly (operations) staff, Management, and other associates.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Serve as interface between customers, plant and company
  • Manage shipping schedules based on customer requirements (Purchase orders, EDI transmissions, customer website, and manual orders)
  • Manage and maintain sales Orders in AX – Load new parts into Sales Orders in order for EDI to upload
  • Provide shipping with timely and accurate shipping schedules, daily pick lists and pre-shippers via AX
  • Provide Customers with proactive information about possible shortages; including but not limited to informing the customer prior to shipment that a shortage has occurred
  • Ensure AX is maintained with accurate information at all times; ensuring that due date quantities and accumulated totals are correct
  • Serve as liaison with production supervisors for customer and intra-company schedules
  • Support and protect the plant floor from excessive increases from the customer releases. Ensure timely notification to the appropriate department of the increase and what we are capable of to meet the customer expectation.
  • Serve as the interface with customers’ logistics companies and preferred carriers regarding pick up schedules and maintenance of AX defaults
  • Manage and notify the appropriate department of part number changeovers
  • Coordinate the break-point with the plant personnel and customer to minimize obsolescence
  • Maintain customer container management systems and coordinate with shipping team on returnable/expendable usage for each shipment
  • Maintain expendable usage by customer and submit for reimbursement when returnables are not available
  • Maintain customer websites with requested information from customers in a timely manner
  • Assist with other responsibilities and duties as required, fostering a dynamic atmosphere
Special Circumstance of this Position:

Must be able to answer ALL customer questions and requirements at any time day or night 7 days a week. The Release & Component Analyst will be provided a company-issued laptop computer and cell phone stipend so this requirement be accomplished after hours in order to support the customer needs if contacted.

Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associate or Bachelor Degree in related field or the equivalent in experience in a Manufacturing or Materials/Logistics environment
  • A minimum of two years related Materials Coordination experience preferred
  • Experience with EDI systems and Logistics preferred
  • Requires strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to quickly react in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-directed with the capability to meet deadlines
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and departments
Physical Requirements:
  • Travel may be required to see customers and other facilities
  • Must be available to customers any time day or night, 7 days a week
  • Ability to work at computer terminal for significant periods of time
  • May require extended telephone usage
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds on occasion
