Due to our ongoing business relationship with the County of San Diego, OptumHealth Behavioral Solutions is seeking a full - time Care Advocate.  The successful candidates will be responsible for taking inbound calls on behalf of the San Diego Access and Crisis Line.  This includes a high volume of calls related to crisis intervention, suicide prevention and substance abuse issues.  In addition, the Care Advocates will review and respond to Treatment Authorization Requests (TARS) for inpatient admissions from facilities throughout the County of San Diego.  
 
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:30PM - 7:00AM
Shift differentials will apply
As part of this position, you will be required to be granted and maintain access to the County of San Diego's electronic health record, Anasazi.

Requirements



Required Qualifications:


California Licensed Master's degree level clinician in: Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Counseling, or a Licensed Ph.D. / PsyD Psychologist OR Bachelors in Nursing with Psychology experience

Licenses must be active and unrestricted for the State of CA

3+ years of clinical experience in the Behavioral Health field, including taking and responding to crisis calls and / or situations

Solid computer proficiency, must be able to type and navigate within a Windows based environment
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Must be able to work at least 1 of the available shifts  
Preferred Qualifications:


Bilingual in Spanish

Inpatient experience

Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse

Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high volume work environment
