Description:
The foundation provides the infrastructure for the delivery of physician services, and contracts with a separate corporation comprised of physicians and other care providers to deliver the clinical services. This multi-specialty foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit, community setting. The Foundation's vision is to create a medical group that will delivery high quality, market competitive medical services.
The Medical Assistant assists clinicians and other members of the health care team in clinic offices by performing a variety of back office, patient-related tasks and ensuring smooth patient and work flow within the department. May work at any of the medical office location.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a MA program.
Experience: Preferred minimum of 2 years demonstrated medical assisting skills in ambulatory care.
Knowledge: Medical terminology and abbreviations. Basic anatomy and physiology. Universal precautions. Medication administration.
License, certification, and/or registration: Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support. Certified Medical Assistant required or within 6 months of hire from (AAMA) American Association of Medical Assistants and (CCBMA) California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants.
