Dairy Manager (15015) Grocery - Full-time / Part-time

Must have minimum of six months experience in general grocery department duties. High school degree or equivalent required. Assign duties to workers. Expedite work flow. Plan daily operation - monitor and rotate stock following companys procedures and profitability guidelines. Train employees in store policies; security - sales and record keeping procedures; and job duties. Order merchandise and supplies. Make and hang special price signs. Ensure that all merchandise is correctly priced and displayed. Receive merchandise following established procedures. Ensure that it is properly stored. Maintain the most economic quantity of inventory on hand. Respond promptly to customer needs. Attempt to resolve any customer problem. Promote good public relations. Thorough knowledge of dairy department operation and its products. Specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees. Know opening and closing department procedures. Working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Randalls / Tom Thumb Employee Handbook. Work in frequently refrigerated temperatures. Work in busy environment - stressful around holidays. Independent mobility within the store. Standing and walking for 8 10 hours. Occasional crouching and stooping to reach low storage areas. Manual dexterity sufficient to handle boxes and supplies. Finger dexterity sufficient to handle order machine keys and papers. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co -workers. Visual acuity sufficient to read order numbers and monitor their departments operations. Strength to lift - push - or pull objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Supervisory experience helpful. Professional appearance and above average communication skills. Perform other duties as required.
