POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager Merchandising Systems and Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology development and support, including the development and associate development programs to support the business functions. This role will work directly with the leadership teams understanding and executing the strategic roadmap of future system deployments, enhancements, customizations, and talent developmental needs. The Manager Merchandising Systems and Operations serves a critical role as the business connection to IT development (internal and external) and support teams and is responsible for ensuring projects are clearly defined, managed, and implemented on time with quality.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
30%- Effectively leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams to develop process and technology improvements ensuring solution design and implementation are accurately developed, documented and delivered to the business teams specifications.
30%-Collaborates strategically with Merchandising Services leadership to identify gaps in current business processes and takes a leadership role in establishing solutions. Maintains and supports current systems to ensure business continuity.
20%-Partners with end-users, IT, cross-functional partners, and external software providers (where appropriate) to ensure new and existing software applications.
20%-Continually challenges status quo and is passionate about driving improvements through technology, innovation, process improvement and associate development.

This position has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

- Familiarity with DB2/SQL, HTML, Visual Basic, Networking, Tableau and information systems.
- Critical thinking skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions; ability to understand and foresee implications of new information for current and future problem solving.
- Strong communication skills; ability to lead and partner with internal and external resources to drive various initiatives, able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including ability to present complex terminology to diverse audiences at all levels.
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally, including ability to persuade and negotiate terms with minimal disruption and/or noise.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and people management skills. Values the perspective others bring.
