The Fairfield Inn by Marriott is seeking an engaging, friendly, and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position will provide administrative and customer support for our Sales Team.   • Answer all incoming phone calls and pre-qualify leads in a time-efficient and professional manner.
  • Process all turnovers, prepare new client files and properly close completed client files.
  • Handle group room blocks as assigned.
  • Prepare written correspondence, group resumes, weekly reports and other reports.
  • Manage and update group rooming lists, event orders, and resumes.
  • Act as a liaison between the Sales, Banquets, and the Front Office.
  • Provide administrative support for the sales team including (but not limited to) answering telephones, typing correspondence, assigning Activities, assisting in Site Tours, and printing reports and departmental records/logs.
  • Create and maintain computer- and paper-based filing and organization systems for records, reports, and documents.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.


Qualifications

  • Experience with Hilton Systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must possess communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented
  • Proficient experience in a Windows-based PC environment including but not limited to Word, Excel & Power Point
  • Ability to learn computer and web-based applications and systems
  • Must have the ability to preserve confidentiality, and be able to work in a team environment, as well as alone

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Area Director of Sales and other property level
  • management and staff.
  • Maintain Knowledge and Timely communication of Group/Meeting
  • Segment Top Accounts.
  • Develop and maintain sales and marketing plans.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge of occupancy trends and hotel availability
  • in order to aid General Manager with yield management goals.
  • Prospect new business using wedding venues, city wide events,
  • universities, sports, churches, etc.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activity and booking
  • reports required by the corporate office.
  • Use and maintain approved database to keep in touch with past
  • clients.





Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Hotel sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Market knowledge of the Raleigh / Durham area highly desired.
  • Driven and Goal Oriented.
  • Genuine, welcoming, and attentive demeanor.
