Amgen is seeking an Associate Information Systems (IS) Analyst – End User Engagement to join Collaboration Team within the Infrastructure and End User Technology function and will be responsible for architecture and technology delivery for Amgen's Office 365 stack as well as other collaboration tools. The incumbent plays a key role to delivering on IS initiatives and is passionate about technology, an internal evangelist/champion that promotes this technology and will be responsible for supporting the use of collaboration systems and platforms at Amgen. The IS Analyst will establish and maintain a positive business relationship with users and other stakeholders of the service and will participate in and/or facilitate cross-functional team meetings to discuss and drive the use of the services and help drive the identification and application of new collaboration tools at Amgen.

The Associate IS Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Information Systems based out of Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies.

Global Business Services (GBS), Communications, Collaboration, and Compute (CCC) team that is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen’s messaging and collaboration technologies. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications.

Key Activities for the Associate IS Analyst include:
Partner with IS Business Analyst (BA) to implement solutions for clients based on functional specifications the BA has provided
Engage with business to build collaboration solutions around current process and help find ways to improve and provide value using the Collaboration Service platforms; balance finding solutions with maintaining client’s ability to understand and support going forward
Ensure solutions meet Amgen and the Collaboration Service governance and best practices and position the business to be able to support solutions
Champion technology advancement within Amgen via frequent interactions, demos, and understand of core business functions
Interact with Vendors to understand and develop joint roadmaps/strategies
Interact with Amgen’s, Information Security, Identity and Access Management, Records and Information Management teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized to protect Amgen’s information
Constantly assess new technology capabilities as they present themselves in the market
Help business clients learn to construct complex solutions in SharePoint Balance building complex solutions with maintaining a client’s ability to understand, maintain, and support the solution going forward
Contribute to longer-range architecture, strategy and direction for Enterprise Collaboration and own issues to completion
Identify business patterns used for collaboration and translate the patterns into standardized solutions
Independently resolve complex, break-fix issues and identify and correct complex system issues
Participate in training programs designed to educate end users about basic and specialized collaboration applications
Collaboratively work with Enterprise Architecture group and implementation partners in defining solution specs
Travel: Domestic and International travel up to 5% may be essential

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
OR
Associate’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to perform detail-oriented work
Strong organizational, facilitation, work planning, and multi-tasking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate proactively with others
Attention to detail and experimental/troubleshooting aptitude
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
4+ years of formal technical support, help desk or customer success management experience for a technology company
Experience with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, JavaScript & JQuery)
High level of technical competency with Office 365, SharePoint Online and other Cloud Enterprise Solutions
Experience using automation tools and scripting languages (Powershell) with understanding of cloud APIs
Hands on with technical solutioning and execution within Office 365
Strong background delivering emerging technologies, mitigating risk and delivering innovation
Proven ability to move products from Demo and Proof of Concept to Pilot and Production quickly
