Job Description

Job Summary:

Leads the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies for cardiology and/or vascular services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
  • Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
  • Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that assigned area operates within allocated funds. Coordinate and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
  • Continuously analyzes departmental procedures to reduce costs and/or improve quality and/or efficiency. Monitors the performance of employees in the attainment of productivity levels.
  • Collaborates with the Cardiovascular Services Department Medical Directors regarding policies and procedures, processes, and quality.
  • Collaborates with Ascension WI Cardiovascular service line leader and councils regarding development of business development, strategic planning and best practice standardization.
  • Coordinates Cardiovascular Best Practices team for facility to evaluate current and best practices, develop strategies, implements change, and evaluate outcomes. Coordinates best practices and standardized pathways for the Cardiovascular Services Department.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's Level Degree 
    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) required by hire date or job transfer date

Work Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience required with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role required.
